Workshop Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to attend a workshop with Sherilee Honnery, Outback Milliner.

​

Please read the following Terms & Conditions before booking your workshop.

​

Workshop Information

​

Workshop Duration

Our millinery workshops are designed to teach you how to create your own handcrafted millinery crown or headpiece.

Workshops run for one day from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

​

We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to allow time to choose your preferred design and colours before the workshop begins.

​

Class Size

To ensure a personalised learning experience, class sizes are limited to:

  • Maximum of 6 participants for most workshops.

  • Maximum of 8 participants for Leather Flower Crown workshops.

 

What's Included

Your workshop fee includes:

  • All tools and equipment required during the workshop

  • All materials and consumables

  • Expert tuition from Sherilee

  • Morning tea

  • Lunch

  • Tea, coffee, water and other non-alcoholic refreshments

 

A selection of kangaroo leather will be available for use during the workshop. Colours are subject to availability.

Age Requirement

Participants must be 16 years of age or older.

​

Celebrating a Special Occasion

If you are booking a workshop to celebrate a birthday, hens party or another special occasion, please let Sherilee know at the time of booking. We love helping make your day even more memorable.

The workshop is held in a purpose-built creative studio located at Sherilee's private residence.

​

Parking is available along the front footpath or in the driveway where shaded parking is available.

​

Catering

Morning tea featuring homemade treats and a light lunch are included in your workshop fee.

​

Lunch generally consists of a selection of cold meats, quiches and fresh salads.

​

Tea, coffee, bottled water and other non-alcoholic refreshments are also provided.

​

Participants are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages if they wish.

​

If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please advise Sherilee at the time of booking or no later than 14 days prior to your workshop.

​

While every effort is made to accommodate dietary requirements, food is prepared in a home kitchen where common allergens may be present. Outback Milliner cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

​

Bookings & Payment

Individual workshop bookings for advertised dates are processed through TryBooking and may incur a booking fee.

​

Private group bookings may be requested by email or phone and are subject to availability.

​

Booking requests are processed in the order they are received.

​

Unpaid booking requests will be held for 72 hours only. If payment has not been received within this period, the booking may be released and offered to another customer.

​

Payment details will be provided when your booking request is confirmed.

​

Your workshop place is secured only once full payment has been received.

​

A confirmation email will be sent once your booking has been finalised.

​

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Should you need to cancel your booking, the following conditions apply:

  • More than one month before the workshop: Refund less a 5% administration fee.

  • Less than one month before the workshop: 50% of the workshop fee is non-refundable.

 

If you are unable to attend due to illness, work commitments or personal circumstances, refunds cannot be provided. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to another person. Please notify Sherilee before the workshop date.

​

Participants who do not attend their workshop without prior notice are not entitled to a refund.

​

Refunds are not available for change of mind.

​

Workshop Cancellation by Outback Milliner

Outback Milliner reserves the right to cancel or postpone a workshop where necessary, including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient participant numbers

  • Instructor illness

  • Extreme weather

  • Emergencies

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

  • Health and safety concerns

 

If a workshop is cancelled by Outback Milliner, participants will be offered either:

  • A full refund; or

  • Transfer to another available workshop date.

 

Photography & Social Media

Participants are welcome to take photographs of their own work during the workshop.

​

Please respect the privacy of other participants by obtaining their permission before photographing or sharing images that include them.

​

Video recording of demonstrations or teaching sessions is not permitted without prior written permission.

​

Outback Milliner may photograph completed projects and workshop activities for use on the website and social media pages.

​

If you prefer not to appear in photographs, please let Sherilee know before the workshop begins.

​

Copyright & Intellectual Property

All workshop notes, demonstrations, designs, teaching materials and techniques provided during the workshop remain the intellectual property of Outback Milliner.

​

Workshop materials are supplied for personal use only and must not be copied, reproduced, taught, published or distributed without prior written permission.

​

Health & Safety

Participant safety is important.

​

Workshops involve the use of sharp tools, cutting equipment, adhesives and heat tools.

​

Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided during the workshop and use all equipment responsibly.

​

Outback Milliner accepts no responsibility for injury resulting from misuse of equipment or failure to follow workshop instructions.

​

Participant Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully and courteously towards fellow participants and instructors.

​

Outback Milliner reserves the right to refuse entry or ask any participant to leave if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, offensive or inappropriate.

​

No refund will be provided where a participant is asked to leave due to unacceptable behaviour.

​

Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings.

​

Outback Milliner accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal items brought to the workshop.

​

Studio Equipment

All workshop tools and equipment remain the property of Outback Milliner and are provided for use during the workshop only.

​

Equipment, tools and materials must not be removed from the premises.

​

Participants have access to toilet facilities throughout the day.

​

A covered outdoor patio area is also available for morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea.

​

Acceptance of Terms

By booking a workshop with Sherilee Honnery, Outback Milliner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
